The counselors are available to help in many different ways. They provide assistance with the proper selection of student classes and monitor their academic performance. Throughout the school year, counselors will disseminate information about colleges, vocational and business schools, the armed services, scholarships, financial aid, and testing. The counselors provide personal/social counseling by working with students, parents, school personnel, and community agencies. Students are assigned to counselors by graduation year. However, students are free to consult any counselor about their concerns. To see a counselor, a student should stop in the counseling office before or after school to schedule an appointment. Emergency situations do not require an appointment.
