Principal's Message

Dear Wildcats,

It is with great honor and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of Las Vegas High School. My love and passion for education began over 20 years ago from the island of Hawaii. Thus far, I have had the privilege of impacting lives from elementary to high school levels as a teacher, dean, assistant principal, principal and, finally, to School Associate Superintendent of Clark County School District. Since March 2019, I have been so fortunate to be appointed once again, as principal, to lead a school that comes with rich traditions and pride in providing education that develop the minds of the students so they can achieve their desired future goals.

We have an amazing staff and student body at Las Vegas High School who cannot wait to welcome you to be part of the Wildcat Nation! Our goal is to encourage you to explore and delve into opportunities that will enhance your educational and social experiences. We offer a plethora of exciting and challenging academic courses, activities, electives and clubs that fit our students’ preferences. Make your high school experience memorable and make an active choice to participate on our sports teams; performing arts program; AJROTC; CTE courses. Or, take part in one or two of the clubs or organizations available.

There have been small and exciting changes made while major traditions remained the same. We are looking forward to having a great year with you! As you begin your high school journey as a Wildcat, the entire staff and student body will be here to help you achieve your goals.

Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!

Respectfully,

Ron Guerzon
