2020-2021 SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Online Registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open! Please go to the Campus Portal to register your students for the 2020-2021 school year. All students must be registered every year in order to have access to all school resources. If you need assistance with this, please call the CCSD Help Desk at (702)799-7678. If you do not have access to technology, you can register at the school once the building reopens. Once you have completed your registration online, please CLICK HERE to complete the registration process and upload any required documents. Please email all registration questions to hernal13@nv.ccsd.net.

Zone Variances – If you are in need of a zone variance for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete the Zone Variance Form. If you already completed a paper copy for next year, you do not need to fill out a new form.

CCSD REOPENING SURVEY – As CCSD plans for the reopening of schools for Fall 2020, we want to hear from students, parents, staff and the community. Please click the button at the right to share your thought about reopening our schools. The survey should take less than 10 minutes and is completely anonymous. The survey will be available through June 1st.

SOT MEETING – The June meeting of the School Organizational Team (SOT) is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 11th at 2:05pm. The meeting will be conducted online via Google Meet. To attend the meeting, please CLICK HERE. The meeting agenda will be posted once available.

CCSD ELL WORKSHOPS – CCSD and the English Language Learner (ELL) Division are providing opportunities for family members of current English language learners to access educational parent workshops. CCSD INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE – As school closures continue through the end of the school year, CCSD has released a guide that provides a structure for students and families for learning through distance education. In addition to instruction facilitated by the student’s teacher, Extended Learning Activities are essential to provide students further learning opportunities to promote their mastery of grade-level standards. FOOD DISTRIBUTION Due to increasing temperatures, the hours of operation for the LVHS Food Distribution site will be from 7:00 - 10:00am, Monday through Friday.

SUMMER SCHOOL – Details regarding the availability and format for summer school are currently in the works and will be posted as the earliest opportunity. Parents may also direct inquiries about summer school to their student's counselor.

CCSD WIFI BUSESIn an effort to increase access to learning resources, CCSD Transportation has equipped more than a dozen buses with Wi-Fi to allow students internet access. The school buses are parked at designated locations along 14 routes. Maps and a list of the Wi-Fi bus stop locations and times are available at transportation.ccsd.net. Students in need of technical assistance at the mobile Wi-Fi locations can contact the District Technology Helpline at (702) 249-1825.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY UPDATE – Due to COVID-19, the Clark County School District (CCSD) will be postponing graduation ceremony dates for the Class of 2020. Individual schools, in collaboration with central office and region leadership, will develop school-specific celebration plans that will fit their particular school community needs. All graduation ceremonies will observe the up-to-date Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, including social distancing, and will keep the safety of students, staff and community at large as a priority. Specific information on graduation celebrations for the Class of 2020 will be shared with school communities when the school plans are finalized.

ACT TESTING – The ACT organization has released updated information regarding new flexible scheduling for the upcoming summer and fall testing seasons as well as new information regarding their "Test Online at Home" programs. LEARNING EXTENSION OPPORTUNITIES – All students should also be checking their CCSD emails and/or Google Classroom accounts (or whatever other tools used by their specific teachers) to stay up to date with the learning activities for their particular classes.

LEARNING LINE – In an effort to provide assistance for our families, CCSD has created the Learning Line, a service where CCSD personnel can provide support for all students via telephone to maximize learning through distance education. Please call 702-799-6644 to access the Learning Line. Educators will be available from 8:00am to 4:00pm to assist students in both English and Spanish during scheduled school days.
